The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is warning motorists that drunk driving won’t be tolerated this Labor Day. “If you’re over the limit and you drive, you’re under arrest,” said Sheriff Steve Prator.
A grant provided by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission will provide additional funding for deputies to conduct extra patrols in Caddo Parish for the national mobilization of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” awareness capaign. The added patrols will take place from August 17 through September 3.
Sheriff Prator is urging citizens to be safe and have fun for the last holiday of the summer. “Don’t put yourself or others at risk. Plan ahead. Designate a sober driver in advance. Call a friend, call a cab, or stay put.” he said.
