A Doyline man turned himself in to authorities Thursday on a Caddo Sheriff’s Office warrant for rape, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Marvin Bradley “Brad” Champlain, 36, appeared at the Caddo Correctional Center and was booked into jail after he was notified by CPSO Detective Larry Pierce that a warrant had been obtained for his arrest.

Champlain is accused of raping a female under the age of 13 on several occasions in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The crimes occurred at a residence in Caddo Parish. Pierce began an investigation after the victim recently came forward and reported the crimes to the Caddo Sheriff’s Office.

Champlain is charged with one count of aggravated rape. No bond has been set pending a hearing. The investigation is continuing.
